I need to vent about the last 6 weeks, literally the worst 6 weeks of my life.

My parents decided to move out of the house we were living in which my nan owns, and so my brother came to stay with me. The rest is long and horrible so if you are interested

Since he moved in I have lived every single day in fear. He lays in my lounge room smoking weed every single night, and tells me i have to walk down to the 24 hour petrol station. Its always like, 1am. He wakes me up to go and its a decent 10 minute walk. If i say no, he grabs at my throat while i am still asleep and threatens to choke me to death if i don’t go. So i do.

Every day he has decided that i need to hear about all my flaws, and how he is better than me. So in the last 6 weeks, every day i have been told a mixture of the following;

You are poor and it’s because you are fat, ugly and dumb. You have no talents that will ever get you far in life. If you maintain your current RSL job for the rest of your life, that is the best possible life outcome you will ever achieve. Dad hates you, he has told me before when drunk. You will never get married, if you are straight it will be because no woman could ever possibly want to be with you, and if you are gay, that is disgusting and unnatural, and i’m glad you can’t marry.

At least 3 times a day he goes on rage fits. So far he has smashed all of my bedroom windows, thrown all of my plates at me resulting in them smashing on the wall, smashed glasses and left the shards in my bed, snapped my real $220 ray bans. he has broken the back door off its hinges, smashed a hole in the wall with a hammer and torn the foxtel cords out of the wall.

He has threatened to stab me in my sleep, bash me if i disobey him, gouge my eyes out while i sleep, smash my computer and t.v while im out of the house, put poison in the food in my fridge and break my legs with a crowbar.

During all of this, i have been trying to work to give him $250 a week for weed, and then go to uni 4 days a week. He wakes me up every night just because he thinks its funny when i wake up in shock from being hit.

Apart from that, he told my mum that he wants nothing to do with her, that she is a filthy whore, that she was a terrible mother and that she better wake up to herself before he runs her down in her driveway with his 4 wheel drive.

To top it all off, no real estate will lease apartments out to me and my friend who i am trying to move in with. He told me if i tell anyone, that i am done for. If i don’t come home he will set fire to the house. He told me that the only way i can leave is “If you can manage to get an apartment on your own by fooling some stupid real estate agent that you at least somewhat resemble someone respectable. I highly doubt that will happen because you are a pathetic waste of a human life, a terrible excuse for a human being and an overall failure to yourself and everyone associated with you”

So that is my life right now. Sucks, but he is my brother and if i can’t try and help him, i will feel more like a failure. I just needed to tell someone. Even if no one takes the the time to read it, i know i have said it.
